Burning Pyre (Christopher Macarthur Owen) is a producer and composer based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Remaining true to his atmospheric and melancholic ambient roots, Burning Pyre has broadened his web of influences to incorporate elements of dub, downtempo and glitch music into his sonic palette. Pairing organically shifting ambience with skittering percussion, cavernous sub bass and textural pops and clicks, Burning Pyre’s latest full-length project on co:clear, Imago, perfectly encapsulates the gentleness and bittersweet sensibility that has remained a constant throughout his body of work.
